These cookies are fun and easy enough for anyone to do! Get the family together and have fun making and decorating these cute, colorful kite cookies!

What You’ll Need:

Sugar Cookies (you may make yours from scratch, a package, or the refrigerated dough – whatever you would like)
Icing (just like the cookies, you may use icing made from scratch, or pre-made)
Rope Licorice
Sprinkles and such to decorate cookies with (optional)
Diamond shape cookie cutter (if you don’t have one, you can cut a diamond shape from cookie dough using a knife)
Rolling Pin
Flour

Instructions:

1. Prepare cookie dough, refrigerate for about an hour.
2. Remove from fridge, sprinkle with flour and roll with rolling pin.
3. Cut dough into diamond shapes.
4. Bake cookies according to instructions.
5. Allow to cool completely.
6. Ice and decorate as you desire.
7. Place on blue plate, placemat, napkin, paper (whatever you have that looks like the sky). Cut licorice according to size needed and stick under cookies.
8. Have fun and be creative making your High In The Sky Kite Cookies!

You may also have fun decorating your “sky scene” with mini-marshmallows for clouds!
