Changed

As I am reflecting on the events of yesterday, I find myself once again amazed by the creative power of God. Yesterday we packed up all the babies, television equipment and visited the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus. As we were taping segments for an upcoming program I was watching a seemingly dead lifeless brown bag. Then all at once it began to shake with life and a beautiful butterfly emerged. I realized we are much like that butterfly. When we hide ourselves in the cocoon of God's word we can't help but emerge changed, better than when we started more useful than when we began. For the person who will allow God's word to develop them, there is certainly much more of His best ahead. It brings to mind the scripture 2 Cor 5:17, where it says that in Christ we are new creatures. The emphasis is on IN CHRIST NEW. God's word is the anointed transforming power of God and it can be used as a weapon against the enemy. It can change things, rearrange things, produce things. So my thoughts are, "In Christ we are new, old things are gone". His best is there for us to experience. Put yourself in the cocoon of His word and when you emerge, use it. You and the things around you will be changed.

Spend Time With Your Kids

"Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations, spare not, lenghten thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes..." Isaiah 54:2

Today I had a great time with my kids! We "all" played outside, I took my youngest son for a stroller ride around the yard! We enjoyed how warm it was, the sun, and the day the Lord has made. A thought for the day is; "it's important to spend quality time with our kids". Regardless of their age. Whether they are 27 or 7 months old. Two year olds love to be with mommy or daddy. They enjoy the security of their relationship. They have a good time laughing and playing with their parents. All our kids feel the same way no matter what age they are. Its important to spend time with your kids. When they grow up, its nice to know who they are! If you spend time with your kids through their childhood, then they'll have time for you when they're 27...

Isaiah 54 is our life. We live it daily. We enlarge our tents. You know, that's not just your house, your lands, your possessions. It is enlarging the vessel that you are. It is enlarging your spirit. It is enlarging your revelation. Enlarging your relationship with God, your children, your spouse, everything. It is not just physically, it is enlarging yourself in every way.

God is a God who enlarges us, and He desires increase in our lives. Go for it today, enlarge yourself and that doesn't mean with 'twinkies'.
