In Love With My Kids ")

You know, today I was just getting ready to go to bed and one of my five kids decided they were going to get up nd stay up for the next 3 hours! I knew it was an early morning with KICKS Club calls starting very early 'since it was Saturday'. I had all these 'plans' to get this and that done for the day, to find myself so very sleepy. That condition grew as I remained sure to stay awake while my 2 1/2 year old decided to play and chat, chat and play, and play and chat. We turned on Daystar and watched the music videos and the chatting continued about the water, the mountains, the sky, the moon, the rain, the snow, and on. Time continued until the sun began to brighten the sky with its glow behind the clouds. Sunrise was just around the corner. I proceeded to take my sweet young baby I love so much back to the bedroom and as we lay down, up comes a book and more chatter.

I thought... "What is causing this young child of mine to not lay down and rest?" Suddenly I realized, we had been talking about Elmer. Elmer had visited that evening to do some of his voice messages and his blog. Well, this very young 2 1/2 year old and I had talked about how it was "Saturday" and that meant it was time for Elmer for them when they woke up!

The excitement from this child was in the air! Getting ready and waiting to watch Elmer was the reason for that excitement and going to sleep was not a factor! You know, I am so in love with my kids, and they are so in love with what we do as well. What gracious satisfaction to know that excitement is in them for what God has called us to do, and wonderful it is that it can bring such expectancy for a simple Saturday in our lives!

Finally asleep? Oh yes, and here I am, writing to all of you on how wonderful our kids are, and how awesome it is that we get the privilege of finding that out as we sacrifice and give our lives to them through the power of God's love!

Hey, "Be in love with your kids"!

Remember, we love you all, that is another reason why we do what we do!

"raising faith-filled kids through the word of God"!
