Reflection

Have you ever thought about the word "reflection"? Especially when you use it in the meaning that you are 'reflecting' on something? What are you 'reflecting' when you do this? Are you reflecting past failures, attitudes about yourself that you don't measure up? Are you reflecting imperfections or things that need done, or past victories?

When I looked up in the Bible the word reflection I found that this word was never used! So I looked up the next logical word, 'image'. After all, when you use the word reflection you can put the word 'image' right beside it. Now the word image was found, 147 times in the King James version.

So, that tells us that the Lord looks at the importance of 'image' rather than reflection. Like a reflection in a mirror for example. The Lord is more concerned about the image, which is defined as a 'visible impression'. A reflection is defined as an action of throwing back light. We need our reflections to throw back the image of God's light in any and every area!

Always remember as you are in moments of 'reflection' that if you see through a reflection as one does in seeing themselves in a mirror, that there is always an image going to be produced through that reflection. That image is a visible impression that is given based on 'what light are reflecting"? Be sure your reflection is based on and filtered on through the LIGHT of God's word in your life therefore leaving a very positive and productive visible impression for you! That impression being the image of what the Lord has revealed through His LIGHT.

Then you have the true image of the One True God and there will be no other image lifted up to gain any of your reflective attention. God bless and keep your reflections Word filled!
